Executive Shake-Up at Spirit Airlines

Spirit Airlines has announced the sudden departure of CEO Ted Christie, who had held the position for 13 years. His resignation comes during the company’s post-bankruptcy restructuring process. According to the New York Post, Christie would have been eligible for a $3.8 million bonus had he stayed a few more months.

On the same day, Matt Klein, who had served as Chief Commercial Officer since 2016, also stepped down. He has been replaced by Rana Ghosh, formerly the Head of the Transformation Office. Until a new CEO is appointed, the company will be led by an interim executive committee.
